Joe Bindloss

Joe Bindloss has been writing travel guidebooks, reference books, marketing materials and print and online articles about travel for more than 25 years, covering dozens of destinations around the world, with a special focus on London, India and South Asia, and Southeast Asia. After a decade as commissioning editor for Iberia, Italy and the Indian Subcontinent for Lonely Planet, he is now working freelance as a journalist and copywriter.

Joe is the author of more than 60 guidebooks for Lonely Planet, Time Out and other travel publishers, and he has contributed to a string of newspapers, magazines and websites, including the Guardian, Independent, Telegraph, Sunday Times, Lonely Planet Magazine, Hotelier, Silverkris, Oryx, Gulf Life and Portonus.

Joe works as a copywriter on a freelance basis, for diverse clients from Diners Club to Glasgow Airport. He also works as an instructional designer for the Higher Education sector and public and private sector organisations, specialising in equality and diversity.
