Joe Bindloss has been writing
travel guidebooks, reference books, marketing materials and print and online
articles about travel for more than 25 years, covering
destinations all over the world, from Nepal to Madagascar. He has a special focus on the UK,
India and South Asia, and Southeast Asia. After a decade working as a
commissioning editor for Lonely Planet, covering the Iberia region, Italy and the Indian Subcontinent,
he is now working freelance as a travel writer, copy editor and copywriter.

publishers, and he has contributed travel content to numerous magazines, newspapers,
and websites, including Lonelyplanet.com, National Geographic Traveller,
The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Evening Standard, The Sunday Times, Lonely Planet Magazine, Hotelier, Silverkris, Oryx,
Gulf Life and Portonus.
Joe works as a copywriter on a freelance basis, for diverse clients from Diners Club to Glasgow Airport. He also works as an instructional designer for the Higher Education sector and public and private sector organisations, specialising in equality and diversity.
